Reviewer: Catherine Harding This is a wonderful book, at least given where I am with my dog training. I am relatively new to the world of dog training (5 years) and Jean helps you understand how to break all commands into workable segments. She also does a great job of supporting the trainer -- I often feel overwhelmed when things don't go well, and Jean's book sorts that out. I like the way she helps you learn to drop back a level when the dog doesn't get it, or push forward if the dog has clearly understood what is being asked. This is a very sensible book! It would be good for teachers to read and try to implement in their classes. I wish I had had it from the outset.

But, have we gone too far in pushing these pills on our pets?
